Hotel description
On the northern coast of Anguilla, Malliouhana Hotel and Spa stands in landscaped gardens on a bluff just above one of the most spectacular beaches this wonderful island has to offer. Meads Bay is long and wide and composed of very fine soft white sand. Named after the old Amerindian name for Anguilla, Malliouhana Hotel consists of a large whitewashed building almost Mediterranean in style, whose exterior belies the spacious lounges, intimate patios with fountains, panoramic restaurant and pool terrace you find inside. This feeling of space extends to the 55 rooms and suites situated in the Malliouhana Hotel’s main building and in other buildings on the bluff, overlooking Turtle Cove beach, in the gardens and directly on the beach. All the bedrooms at Malliouhana Hotel & Spa are exceptionally large. They have a stylish, sophisticated feel, but are also comfortable and calm. The dark walnut wood of doors and cupboards contrasts with the pale walls, and Haitian paintings and plants add colour and vibrancy to the hotel. Malliouhana’s restaurant is an important feature of the hotel. Under the guidance of Parisian Michelin-starred chef Michel Rostang, its culinary achievements have gained international acclaim. The conception of the dishes is classically French but the local ingredients give them a truly Anguillan flavour. Malliouhana Hotel & Spa also has extensive sports and leisure facilities, including three freshwater swimming pools, a heated outdoor jacuzzi, night-lit tennis courts, a fitness centre and a luxury spa overlooking Meads Bay here in Anguilla. Children are well-catered for at Malliouhana with the children’s adventure playground which includes a 60 foot waterslide and a large-scale replica pirate ship.
